In a sophisticated circular room of dark tones and smooth textures, an elegant man sat in his Scandinavian, black-leather chair, staring at the image before him. It was a cosmic display of pure magic and intelligence.

Spanning half of the heavily padded walls around him were several floor-to-ceiling screens that offered an unobstructed view into a sea of twinkling stars scattered across the velvety black fabric, creating the illusion of floating in outer space. Far in the distance was a small, bright blue speck.

Crossing his legs, he took a deep breath and eased back into the chair. He smiled. All those years of planning and dreaming were finally coming to fruition. As he quietly contemplated what was about to unfold, his heart began to race. It was time.  

With one swipe of his hand through the air, a gentle hum broke the silence. The stars began their steady movement, gradually drawing closer in view towards the room. The blue speck moved forward as stars occasionally began to flash along the edge of the screens and out of sight. The movement was delightfully realistic and soothing, making him reflect on the mysteries and marvels of the universe. It was a reminder of Earth’s smallness and all those worlds beyond its existence.  

Within a few minutes, the suspended blue speck of Earth rapidly drew closer, revealing the green and brown patchwork of land and the deep blue oceans beneath the swirling white clouds. Her fragility was heightened against the infinite cosmic backdrop. As the vulnerability of life intensified within his soul, a tear rolled down his cheek as a deep sense of cosmic connection tugged at his heart.

When the Earth filled the screen and stopped, it measured nine feet across. The cosmic background remained suspended in time. 

It was time to forever change the lives of a few fortunate souls and observe the world being pulled into the gripping social media frenzy that was about to begin.

Sitting up in his seat, he swiped his white gloved hand over the sleek moon-shaped desk. The Earth slowly began to spin.
